Robert Gary Natanson brings a lifetime of experiences in a variety
of musical and visual art forms, as the result of being born into a family where
a number of his relatives painted as well as played musical instruments.
Mr. Natanson studied painting at Oklahoma University with both Eugene Bavenger
and Amelio Amero, and at North Texas State with Wilford Higgins
Bobby, as he is affectionately known, was the first musical director
for the Dallas Playboy Club in 1974.
Bob has performed in Jazz Festivals all over the world including
the Montreaux, Switzerland Jazz Festival with Champion Jack Dupree and the Monterey
Jazz Festival with the Vince Guaraldi Quartette featuring Jimmy Rushing.
He has also performed on numerous major network television shows
with various acts on the Dean Martin Show and the Draft Music Hall with Lou Rawls.
One of bobby's favorite recording sessions was the original one through
ten segment on sesame street with Denny Zeillin on piano, Mel Graves on bass,
Bobby Natanson on drums and gracie Slick from The Jefferson  Airplane
did the counting.
Bobby was an artist in residence at the University of Southern Illinois
in the music department and was the guest artist for their Spring Concert in 1978.
Presently Bob Natanson performs regularly wih his groups.
